PATCH NOTES
What changed in the game, newest first.
- Every option in the call box now says what it does in plain words: green for what you gain, red for what it costs.
- The card after each shift shows your win chance before it and after it.
- New pages: these patch notes, and a glossary of every word the game shows.
- You make a call every shift of the third period, not just the last five minutes.
- LET THE ASSISTANT RUN IT plays the next three minutes for you, as one call.
- Options no longer show a win chance before you call. Marks show what each one does instead.
- A line over each call says who they have out and how much gas they have left: GASSED or FRESH.
- Some plays work better against who's out: push a gassed line, send your checkers at their stars (MATCH).
- Before 5:00, one square covers three minutes of calls, so your share stays short.
- Replays run at 4X before the last five minutes and 2X after, and your own speed pick is remembered.
- SKIP in a replay stops at each in-play choice instead of passing it.
- In-play choices come up before 5:00 too: PINCH or GET BACK at the top of the zone, and CHANGE NOW or STAY OUT on a line change.
- On today's daily, the card shows what share of coaches made your call.
- Before 5:00 the coach speaks up only for a goal, a penalty or a call that wasn't GOOD.
- A penalty hands you the bench: you call every shift of the power play or the kill.
- Every whistle says why: covered, offside, out of play, high stick or hand pass.
- Fewer words on every screen: shorter call boxes, cards and coach lines.
- Long and accented player names fit on a phone.
- DETAILS gives both results from your side, overtime and shootout scores included.
- A carry into the zone brings his linemates in with him.
- A new arcade home page: PRESS START fits the first screen, and MORE GAMES puts every mode in one grid.
- Shootouts in the daily and the gauntlet play like the duel: your shooter, his move, your goalie's guess. Only the shooter is graded.
- New: THE PLAYOFFS. Take one team through the real 2026 playoffs, every game played whole from puck drop.
- Before each playoff game you pick your goalie. It's a graded call.
- Beat a team and you take its place in the bracket. Every other series goes as it really did.
- THE SHOOTOUT is now the duel. Old shootout links open a duel.
- Shootout moves play out on the rink: dekes, flips, poke checks, glove and pad saves.
- New: the DUEL GAUNTLET. Random matchups, three lives, and the goalies get hotter as you go.
- A faster way into a duel: today's game, your recent teams or a random matchup.
- How to Play fits one screen, with the full rules a tap away.
- Coach a Season puts the next game first, with your record against the real coach.
- Build Your Six shows each slot's position, and PICK FOR ME fills them.
- GAME SELECT: today's game on top, and your numbers as a HI-SCORES table.
- FINAL HORN is now GAME OVER: a row for each bench, your score and one share button.
- After each call, a short result card with the next call right under it.
- Choices made on the rink keep the rink full size.
- Tonight's team strengths count all the way to the horn in every grade.
- A faceoff swings the odds only as much as real ones did in that spot.
- After a quick change and a whistle, the fresh line stays out for the draw, on both benches.
- New: SHOOTOUT DUEL. Pick your shooter and his move, then guess how your goalie plays theirs.
- Real games that went to a shootout replay the real shootout, attempt by attempt.
- The rink shrinks while you choose and grows for the replay, so a call fits one screen. PLAY stays pinned at the bottom.
- The coach sits above the call box instead of covering it.
- The other bench tires now too, and their gassed lines give up more.
- After a whistle the linesman skates the puck to the dot.
- Game already decided? SKIP TO THE HORN plays it out, and if it gets close you're back.
- Long days with overtime and a shootout count on the daily scoreboard.
- Skaters get to their plays on time more often.
- New: THE SHOOTOUT. Pick a team, one of its games and their goalie, then call each round's shooter.
- A sudden-death round where every shooter has the same odds says NO GRADE.
- The pass before a shot goes to the man who shoots it, and a takeaway shows before their clear or goal.
- The ticker no longer repeats the card's last line, and a man's second shot reads AGAIN.
